Do you often find yourself at home with your boyfriend, with absolutely nothing to do? Both of you are bored out of your minds, or simply too tired to go out of the house to have some fun? And if you’re completely out of creative ideas about what to do at home, don’t worry! We’ve come to your rescue!

Things to Do with Your Boyfriend at Home

1

Watch cartoons together

I mean, seriously. What better way to spend time with your loved one than to go down memory lane? Go online and watch all those shows you watched as a child – Duck Tales, Dexter’s Lab, Johnny Bravo, Talespin, He-Man and Ghostbusters! If that’s a bit much for you, then you can shift to your fav Disney shows (Hannah Montana, High School Musical, etc.) and watch those. But again, if that still seems too childish for you then:

2

Have a movie marathon

Watch all your fav Hollywood movies that you simply loved when you were a child. Not interested? Then you can just pick up series like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek or Pirates of the Caribbean, and binge watch them. Pop a couple of bags of popcorn in the microwave and have fun laughing (or crying) at your fav parts of the movies.

3

A spa day

Look. Everybody needs one day to relax their minds and bodies, right? And sleeping doesn’t count. So for things to do with your boyfriend at home, why not have a DIY spa day? You can go and buy stuff that you need to make the day special, or you can simply make do with whatever product you have lying around at home. Some of the activities you can include are: facials, manicures, pedicures, body massage, hair spa and aromatherapy.

For example, here’s a basic video on how to do a DIY facial

4

A photo shoot

If you or your guy is a photographer, then how about doing a semi professional photo shoot at home? Create backdrops, re-arrange furniture and props to create interesting backgrounds and basically go crazy dressing each other up! If you’re not a pro, you can still try your hand at photography. But if this task seems too daunting for you, then how about simply:

5

Taking photos

Not the kind of photos that pros take. Nah. The kind that amateurs take - wonky, blurred or just flat out terrible. Because why not? We click pictures to preserve our memories, right? So how about preserving these carefree days you are spending with your bf? It’s also about having fun while taking each other’s photographs.

6

Redecorate your apartment

Not all things to do with your boyfriend at home have to be fun or romantic. Sometimes, you gotta do things that you’ve been putting off for a long period of time. And that includes redecoration. Rearrange that furniture, take the old curtains down and put the new ones up and basically everything else that was on your to-do list. If you’re a creative person then you can easily create DIY crafts (wall hangings, painted pots, etc.) to liven up your apartment.

7

Play truth or dare

This game’s more fun if you’re a new couple that hasn’t really got to know each other. If you’re unsure of what questions to ask, simply search for “truth or dare questions for adults”. You can also play “Never have I ever” instead and take shots for every time you’re found guilty of something. But do keep in mind when playing either game – some secrets are better left unsaid, especially if they have nothing to do with your relationship.

8

A dance workout

If you suck at dancing, no issues. Opt for aerobics instead. The reason I suggested this is because

a) Your body will get exercise, which is good for your health too.

b) The increased adrenaline rush and release of dopamine is instantly going to boost you two’s moods.

9

Strip tease poker

Get down and dirty when it comes to things to do with your boyfriend at home. Spice things up with strip tease poker. Add a little more drama by including vodka or whiskey in the mix. But whatever you do, just make sure your room’s curtains are drawn and you’re in a room that lets the minimum amount of noise out (which can be heard by neighbors).

10

Candlelight dinner

Who said you have to dress fancy and go to an extremely expensive restaurant to have the dining experience of your life? Recreate the atmosphere at home – switch off the lights, light your candles and place a scented one in the middle of your table. Play some Mozart in the background (it’s what those fancy restaurants play, right?) and then eat your take out like the high class couple that you are!

11

Have a Karaoke night (or day)

I mean, a karaoke machine is a great tool to have at home but if you don’t have one, don’t worry! You can easily go on YouTube and search for karaoke versions of your fav songs. And yes, they’re all there. Sing funny songs, sing nostalgic songs or sing romantic songs – it’s totally up to you and the mood you want to create with your partner.

12

Make your own to-do list

We always talk about doing various things with our partner, but we seldom get around to doing them. Time, money, and other such parameters prevent us from doing what we really want. So how about making a bucket list of all the things you want to do in the future when you’re more ready for them?
